It was four-horse thresher the "pepper box" machine. It threshed the grain but did not clean it, a fanning mill had to be hauled along and the grain was cleaned often by hand ... This office was at the residence of ‘Tommy' Graham and remembers his father telling him of going to the P. O. in the early ’50’s kept by a man by name of Carlisle, who lived where Ralph Pullin now resides. This may have been the Bullpasture Post Office. Some time in the late ’50’s this Carlisle moved west and the P. O. was moved to the residence of William McClung and kept by him and his descendants until 1927 ...
