The deceased was followed to his grave by a large concourse of people, seldom witnessed in the western country. But thou art gone from us, no more to die, Above this world in yonder sky, Still we cannot bid adieu, Thine image yet is in our view. Alas! We cannot see thee more; Reflections sad upon us lower, Because death has stolen from thee Thy life while in thy youthful days. Too soon, must we say farewell! On earch can we see thee? No, never.
