Read More	Thomas Harvey Yates, age 80, passed away at the Hays Medical Center in Hays, KS. on Sunday, November 13, 2005, he was born on January 23, 1925 in Manning, KS., the son of Thomas Alexander Campbell and Ocea Lee Walters Yates. A farmer and stockman of Scott county most of his life, he moved to Dighton, KS. in 1997. He was a WWII and Koren Conflict Army Veteran. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Scott City and VFW Post #6438 in Dighton. On March 2, 1957, he married Ruth Marie Garrison in Scott City, KS. She passed away on May 5, 1997 in Dighton. Survivors are one son Jerry Yates of Colby; one daughter Judy Scott of Dighton; three granddaughters; Kasyn Scott of Dighton, Casey and Amber Yates of Colby, KS; one grandson. Stacy Yates also of Colby. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one son-Joseph Harvey Yates, three sisters, Jeneldia Chrislip, Mildred Harkness, Wilma Frank. Funeral services were officiated by Bishop Dick Cockerill at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Days Saints in Scott City at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 18, 2005.
