He was one of seven children born to Thomas and Annie B. Lofton Abraham. Annie, Mary Jane, John M., Sarah Ann, George Ira, Thomas Henry, and James Harvey Abraham. Henry was born in Jersey County, Ill. When four years old, his parents moved to Kansas, locating in Coffey County. A year later, they moved to a farm southeast of El Dorado. He served in the Kansas Militia, and worked many jobs through out his life. Henry helped build the Orient Railroad in Texas, which ran nearly 400-mile trek from Presidio on the Mexican border to a junction north of San Angelo, Texas. He was married to Jennie C. Wheeler in 1887.They divorced in 1903. Henry married Mollie Louise Johnson 4 December 1905. She died in 1934. After his marriage to Mollie Louise, Henry worked as a rancher and farmer, in the area surrounding Wichita, and Geneso KS. The couple worked in a Sugar Beet factory at Garden City, KS before moving back to the Wichita, area in the late 20s. In the 1930s after they retired, they lived in the city of Wichita. After his second wife, Mollies death, he lived with one of her daughters family near Whitewater several years. In his final six years, Henry went back to ElDorado to be near Harvey and some of the extended Abraham family. Henry was a member of the Christian Church.Funeral Services were held at the Byrd Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Lessig in charge. Burial was made in the Belle Vista Cemetery near his parents. His obituary appeared in the El Dorado Times El Dorado, Butler County, Kansas Monday, June 26, 1944 Another article about the service appeared in the June 29, 1944 Paper.
