Mr. Bossman was born Dec. 19, 1911 on the farm that was homesteaded by the Bossman family, the son of John T. and Harmka (Beeninga) Bossman. He attended School District No. 18, a rural school, and grew to manhood there. He remained on that same farm in the years to follow, and in addition to farming was partly involved in the painting profession. He was a member of Second Reformed Church in Lennox, and until about two and a half years ago when he suffered a stroke and became a resident of the Lennox Good Samaritan Center, he was a familiar figure at the Lennox Senior Citizens Corner, where he and his brother, "Bennie", could be found almost daily early for the Nutrition Program, where they assisted with the loading and/or unloading of foods and supplies. Thomas and his brother, Bernard (Bennie) remained on the farm through the years, however Thomas took his residence at the Lennox Good Samaritan Center on Sep. 6, 1990. While "Bennie" retained his residence on the farm initially, he later joined Thomas in taking up his residence at the Center. Thomas Herman Bossman died at the Lennox Good Samaritan Center on Feb. 9, 1993. He attained the age of 81 years, one month and 20 days. Preceding Mr. Bossman in death were his parents; and four sisters, Swannie Nordman, Jennie Walkins, Bena Bossman and Etta Fincher. Among his survivors are his brother, Bernard H. (Bennie) Bossman, Lennox; eight nieces and nephews, Fern Stringham, Harvey Fincher, Dorothy Hanisch, Helen Ness, Emma Menholt, Jennie Jennings, John Nordman, and Loretta Randall; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
