Description	:	Thomas I. Gahman, 67, of Lima, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 7, 2010, at Wyngate Senior Living Community in Lima after a 10-year battle with Parkinson's disease. He was born Nov. 8, 1942, to the late Worthy Z. and Nancy Florence (Ridenour) Gahman. On Jan. 16, 1965, he married Janet E. "Jan" (Wehinger) Gahman, who survives. He was born Nov. 8, 1942, to the late Worthy Z. and Nancy Florence (Ridenour) Gahman. On Jan. 16, 1965, he married Janet E. "Jan" (Wehinger) Gahman, who survives. He also is survived by a son, Steven S. (Denise) Gahman, of Dublin; a daughter, Kelly J. (Bryan) Galbraith, of Powell; a brother, James (Sandra) Gahman, of Worthington; three sisters-in-law, Mary Gahman, of Ada; Donna M. Hunter, of Dayton; and Ruth E. Wehinger, of Lima; a brother-in-law, William A. Wehinger, of North Ridgeville; two step brothers-in-law, James and John Wiltsie; and two granddaughters, Leah and Regan Galbraith. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Hersha Davie, George Gahman and William Gahman; a father-in-law, Floyd A. Wehinger; and stepfather-in-law, James Wiltsie. Mr. Gahman was a 1960 graduate of Elida High School. After high school, he attended The Ohio State University and Ohio Northern University. He worked as an engineer for BLH, Superior Coach, Superior Metal, JB Tool, Harvard Industries and retired from Stolle Corp. in Sidney. Thomas was a member of the National Society of Manufacturing Engineers and St. Charles Catholic Church. Through the years, he was active in the Soap Box Derby. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeye's fan, a car enthusiast and enjoyed playing golf. He loved spending time with his family and he adored his two granddaughters. Thomas served in the Ohio National Guard for six years. Funeral services are set for Monday at 11:30 a.m. at St. Charles Catholic Church, in Lima, with the Rev. Stephen Blum officiating.
