There were 11 children born in this family of which four survive. Mr. Longcor was reared near Kirksville and later moved to Eddyville. He has resided here the past thirty-five years. There were 11 children born in this family of which four survive. Mr. Longcor was reared near Kirksville and later moved to Eddyville. He has resided here the past thirty-five years. He was united in marriage to Mrs. Charlotte Surber of Eddyville who died Dec, 7, 1941. On August 26, 1942 Mr. Longcor was united again in marriage to Mrs. Jennie Reddings of Harvey. The past year Mr. Longcor's health failed rapidly and on April 4, 1949 he passed away at the age of 74 years. Mr. Longcor was converted here and has been a member of the Methodist church. He was devoted husband and follower of Christ and will be missed by his wife, relatives and friends. He is survived by his wife, two brothers Frank of Davenport and John of Oskaloosa; two sister Mrs. Jessie Vorheis of Greenton, Mo. and Mrs. Julia Tuttle of Oskaloosa; also a number of nieces and nephews.
