Description	:	Thomas J. Larison, age 90, entered God's Kingdom December 31, 2013 at the Westmont Care Center in Logan, Iowa. Tom was born December 18, 1923 in Mondamin, Iowa to Chester and Anna (Block) Larison. He grew up on the family homestead with two brothers and three sisters. Tom attended Fair Oaks country school and graduated from Mondamin High School in 1941. On November 26, 1950, Tom married Imogene Stulgies of Omaha, Nebraska. Tom was born December 18, 1923 in Mondamin, Iowa to Chester and Anna (Block) Larison. He grew up on the family homestead with two brothers and three sisters. Tom attended Fair Oaks country school and graduated from Mondamin High School in 1941. On November 26, 1950, Tom married Imogene Stulgies of Omaha, Nebraska. Together they raised three children, Sandra, Jeffrey and Mark on that same family homestead. Tom worked various jobs throughout his life. He began farming, and later delivered fuel for Farm Bureau/ FS. He then moved into construction type work retiring in 1985 from Capital Construction of Logan. During retirement, he had a small cow/calf herd on the farm. Tom also cut firewood to heat their home until age 80. Tom was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church in Magnolia, Iowa. Many friendships were enjoyed as he and Imogene worked on various projects and activities at Zion. Whether Tom was mowing the grass or ringing the bell, he served the Lord with dedication, time, and love. He was an example to all. Tom lived at the Westmont Care Center since Imogene's passing in 2008. Tom was preceded in death by his parents; wife: Imogene; son: Mark; brothers: Ben Larison and Robert Larison. Survivors are his daughter: Sandra McDonnell and husband James; son: Jeff Larison and wife Cheryl; six grandchildren: Brian McDonnell and wife Amy; Renee Sundberg and husband Ryan; Katie Carmichael and husband Troy; Megan Dunlap and husband Weston; Caleb Larison and Jess Larison; ten great grandchildren; sisters: Donna Schutt, Dorothy Iwen, Dora Sorensen and many other family members and friends.
