A large number of friends and relatives were present at the last rites to pay their final respects to one who will be greatly missed in the community. Thomas Gormally was born at Bindelph, Canada, December 15, 1867. He and his sister Delia, who has preceded him in death, came to Willis, Nebraska in 1888, where later they were joined by their parents, brother, sisters. Twelve years later he was married to Margaret Ann Rush, and had lived on a family farm near Willis since that time. To this union were born six children. He was a member of St. John’s church. His pleasant personality had made him many friends and he always had a word of cheer for those that called on him during his long illness. Left to mourn his loss are his wife, Mrs. Margaret Gormally, two sons, Charles of Sioux City and Thomas Jr. of Emerson; four daughters, Mrs. Mary Sever and Mrs. Helen Rock of Sioux City, Mrs. Margaret Russell of Atkinson and Florence of Willis; two sisters, Mrs. Jim Enright of Sioux City and Mrs. Mike Hynes of Ponca; two brothers, Patrick of Jackson and William of Sioux City and eleven grandchildren.
