Read More	The Maryville Daily Forum, May 23, 1960: THOMAS RUSSELL, 60, DIES SUDDENLY Thomas Kirk Russell, 60, farmer in the Graham community, died Saturday evening en route to Maitland, where he was being taken for medical treatment. Mr. Russell, born Apr. 17, 1900, was the son of the late L. K. and Saloma Chamberlain Russell, long-time residents of Nodaway County. He was born and reared on a farm four and one-half miles southeast of Graham, where he resided at the time of his death. On January 28, 1938, Mr. Russell was married to Lola Mae McGinness, who survives. He was a member of the Bethany Christian Church and the Graham Masonic Lodge. He had been active in school and community affairs for many years. Survivors, in addition to his widow, are a son, Maurice Russell, Grandview; three daughters, Neta, Gayle and Nina, of the home, a sister, Mrs. Reid Council, Maryville, and four grandchildren, Linda, Connie, James and Maurice Russell, Jr., Grandview. Mrs. Charles J. Eckert, Maryville, and Mrs. Edwin Messick, Bolckow, are aunts of Mr. Russell. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Graham Methodist Church. The Rev. John Thornberry, pastor of the church, will officiate. The body will lie in state from 2 to 3 p.m. at the church preceding the service. Masonic rites will be held. Burial will be in the Graham Cemetery.
