HANDY, Jr., AUTO VICTIM ---------------- Former Bay Cityan Killed in Crash in Detroit on Tuesday. -------------------- WILL BE BURIED HERE -------------------- Thomas L. Handy, Jr., aged 31 years, of 17353 McIntyre avenue, Detroit, son of the late Thomas L. and Harriet E. Handy, of this city, was killed in Detroit Tuesday afternoon in an automobile crash at a street intersection, according to advices received here this morning. Mr. Handy was on his way home to dinner when a car in front of him, driven by Lionel Mickens started to make a left turn. The driver either did not signal for the turn or, if he did, Mr. Handy did not see him, for Handy's car crashed into the other one, and rolled over a couple of times before coming to a stop. Mr. Handy was lifted from the wreckage and rushed to a hospital, but died of his injuries before reaching the institution. Mr. Handy was born and raised in Bay City and lived here until a short time ago when he removed to Detroit. Surviving are his wife, formerly Ruth Benson, of this city, three children, Virginia, Ted and Eunice, of Detroit;: His mother Mrs. Harriet E. Handy; two brothers, Hiram A. and Paul, all of this city and one sister, Mrs. John C. White, of Utica N.Y. The body will be brought to Bay City for burial.
