He was born February 27, 1921 in Rathbun to Louis and Louise Maletta Michell. He married Mary Teresa Fabritz on June 2, 1951. She preceded him in death on November 7, 2005. He was preceded in death by two sons, Nicholas and Daniel Mitchell. His body has been cremated. Memorial Mass will be 1 pm Friday at St. Mary of the visitation with Father Bernie Weir presiding. Inurnment will be in Calvary Cemetery. A Christian Wake will be held at 6 pm Thursday at Reece Funeral Home followed by family visitation until 8 pm. Memorials may be made to Hospice serving Wapello and Davis counties, Ottumwa, IA.
