Description	:	Thomas Leon Oom, 72, of Sabetha went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 8, 2008. He was born on November 5, 1935 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to George Oom and Marian Stapleton Oom. Tom was united in marriage to Carole Ann Wynn in Marysville, Kansas on August 10, 1957. Tom retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1974 and made his home with his family in Sabetha. Read More	Thomas Leon Oom, 72, of Sabetha went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 8, 2008. He was born on November 5, 1935 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to George Oom and Marian Stapleton Oom. Tom was united in marriage to Carole Ann Wynn in Marysville, Kansas on August 10, 1957. Tom retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1974 and made his home with his family in Sabetha. He drove a route for the Seed Company and then worked at the Falls City Auto Supply until he retired in January of 2003. Thomas is survived by his wife, Carole Oom of Sabetha; his sons, Michael Oom and his wife, Ruth of Sabetha, Robby Oom and his wife, Marcia of Sabetha, Stephen Oom and his wife, Lisa of Luling, Louisiana and James Oom and his wife, Kathy of Fruita, Colorado. His sister, Carmen Castenada and her husband, Jesus of Nerwago, Michigan; brother-in-law, Norman Wynn and his wife, Shirley of Berthoud, Colorado; sister-in-law, Sharon Roggenkamp and her husband, Bill of Sabetha and 10 grandchildren, Bridget Stone of Fairview, Robert Hobbs of Wyoming, Kristina Heftey of Sabetha, Bobbi Dillion of Sabetha, Michelle Witherspoon of Sherman, Texas, Clifford Oom of Sabetha, Matthew Oom of Atchinson, Chris Mooney of Sabetha, Carole and Michael Oom of Fruita, Colorado; 2 great- grandchildren, Kaden Oom of Sabetha and Nathen Oom of Atchison. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Patty Oom, brother, Don Oom and brother, Dave Oom. Memorial Mass will be Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at 10:30 A.M. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sabetha. Inurnment will be in the Albany Cemetery following the services.
