| Description | : | Thomas Logan Gaston was a son of Thomas Gaston (1759-1832) and Sarah [née Nichols] Gaston (1764-1818). Born in the Lancaster District of South Carolina on the 7th of April 1805. Shortly after his birth, Thomas' family moved to the area around Mooresville in the Spartanburg District of South Carolina. Thomas was twice married; his 1st wife was Prudence; whom he married on April 16th 1829.
