He was born February 28, 1931, in Etlan, and was the son of the late Emmett Aylor and Golda Myers Aylor. Mr. Aylor was a retired super-visor of construction for Culp-eper Virginia Department Of Highway. He was a member of Etlan United Methodist Church and life member of the Madi-son VFW. Read More	THOMAS AYLOR OBITUARY Thomas Nelson Aylor Thomas Nelson Aylor, 77, of Etlan, died Thursday, July 3, 2008, in Etlan, Virginia. He was born February 28, 1931, in Etlan, and was the son of the late Emmett Aylor and Golda Myers Aylor. Mr. Aylor was a retired super-visor of construction for Culp-eper Virginia Department Of Highway. He was a member of Etlan United Methodist Church and life member of the Madi-son VFW. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and retired from the Virginia State Guard. He was a part time employee of VHIS Builders Construction of Lignum. Thomas is survived by his wife, Polly Gordon Aylor, of Etlan; a son, Thomas Nelson Aylor Jr. and his wife, Susan of Lignum; a daughter, Kim Aylor Racer and her husband, Her-man Racer Jr. of Aroda; four brothers, Emmet Junior Aylor, Andrew Aylor and his wife, Joyce, Wilmer Aylor and his wife, Arlene, James Lacy Aylor and his wife, Ethel, all of Etlan; two sisters, Ula Jean Beach of Etlan, Elizabeth Smith and her husband, Kenneth, of Hood; four grandchildren, Matthew Thomas Racer, Casey Pauline Racer, Tess Elizabeth Aylor and Logan Thomas Aylor; and a host of nieces, nephews and many friends. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, July 7, 2008, at the Etlan United Methodist Church, conducted by the Reverend Brian Copeland Buckles, with interment at Etlan Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, July 6, 2008, at the Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Madison. In lieu of flowers, contrib-utions may be made to Etlan United Methodist Church, CO Stephanie Murray, 792 Old Blue Ridge Turnpike, Madison, VA 22727.
