Wolbach (Nebraska) Messenger, October 29, 1950, page 2, Transcribed by Linda Berney #47343179 ------------------------------------------ Grand Island Daily Independent Monday 16 October 1950 Tom Ogard, 84 of St. Paul, Dies St. Paul, Neb., Oct 16, (Special Dispatch) - Tom Ogard, 84, a resident of St. Paul for many years, died yesterday afternoon in a Hastings hospital. He had been ill since last August. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:45 in the Keating mortuary and at 2 o'clock in the Presbyterian church. Dr. L. V. Osborne, pastor of the church will conduct the services and burial will be in Elmwood cemetery. Mr. Ogard was born at Farre, Denmark, on Oct. 2, 1866. He came to the United States at the age of 17 and settled at Fremont. He and Anna Petersen were married there on Jan. 20, 1890. Survivors include four sons, James Ogard, Lynden, Wash.; Lloyd Ogard, Detroit, Mich.; Curtis Ogard, Seattle, Wash., and Myron Ogard, Atlantic, Ia.; four daughters, Mrs. Henry Jorgensen and Mrs. Robert Uleman, both of St. Paul; Mrs. Jake LeMasters, Compton, Cal., and Mrs. Andrew Thomsen, Hastings; two sisters still living in Denmark; 26 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
