Grandpa Peardon spent time in Greenbrier in the home of his son, Harry Peardon, and for a number of years he lived just over the Greenbrier line in Willow township. Old friends are hoping to hear good news from his bedside. He was taken to the home of his son, Harry Peardon. Jefferson Bee - Wednesday, February 19, 1930 - The residence of Tom Peardon, in Willow township, was destroyed by fire last Thursday, the flames originating from an overheated stove. Mr. Peardon was there alone, and had lain down and gone to sleep. He was badly burned before he escaped from the home, and is now at the home of his son, Harry, east of Bayard. Jefferson Herald - Thursday, February 27, 1930 - W.F. Stroud, V.L. Prescott, Mrs. Frank Magoon and Johnnie Taylor attended the funeral of Grandpa Peardon in Bayard last Saturday afternoon.
