Description	:	Thomas Pratt, son of William and Martha Pratt, was born at Gunnerside, Yorkshire, England, June 18 1862. At the age of five years he came with his parents to America, first residing in Lead Mine, Lafayette County, Wisconsin. On June 5 1881, he was united in marriage to Mary Hannah White at Waldwick,Iowa County, Wisconsin. Of this union there were born eight children, Elmer W. Pratt and Charles H. Pratt of Riverdale, Neb., Roxey M. Vogt of Miller, Neb., and Thomas Hershal Pratt, all of whom were at his bedside to the last except Thomas Hershal, who passed to the... Read More	Thomas Pratt, son of William and Martha Pratt, was born at Gunnerside, Yorkshire, England, June 18 1862. On June 5 1881, he was united in marriage to Mary Hannah White at Waldwick,Iowa County, Wisconsin. Of this union there were born eight children, Elmer W. Pratt and Charles H. Pratt of Riverdale, Neb., Roxey M. Vogt of Miller, Neb., and Thomas Hershal Pratt, all of whom were at his bedside to the last except Thomas Hershal, who passed to the Great Beyond, June 8, 1912. In 1882, he moved to LeMars, Plymouth County, Iowa at which place he resided ten years. In 1892 he moved with his family to Riverdale, Nebraska and settled on a farm that he still occupied at the time of his death. He was a member of the Modern Woodmen of America, Riverdale Camp since May 18, 1895, and was charter member of the I.O.O.F. Lodge, the members of the fraternities well know the intrinsic worth of the man. He was vice president of the Riverdale State Bank almost ever since its organization in 1907. He passed away Friday, September 14, 1923 at St. Lukes's hospital, Kearney, Nebraska where he had gone for an operation and treatment. Age 61 years, two months and twenty-six days. He leaves to mourn their loss, his wife Mary, his four sons, three daughters and fourteen grandchildren, his brothers, Charles, Joe, John and George Harker, and his sister, Mrs. Martin Davis, all of Mineral Point, Wisconsin, a sister, Mrs. Maggie Richards of Hawarden, Iowa; a sister, Mrs. Mary A Bull of Kearney, Nebraska, his brother, James W.
