Description	:	MINDEN — Thomas Rae "Tom" Kenney, 56, of Minden died Thursday, Jan. 25, 2007, at his home. Services were ehld Monday at St. John's Catholic Church in Minden with the Rev. Nicholas Baker officiating. He was born Dec. 20, 1950, in Kearney to Thomas and Viva (Fees) Kenney. In 1972, he married Cheryl Malcom. He later married Kerry Hibberd. Nicholas Baker officiating. He was born Dec. 20, 1950, in Kearney to Thomas and Viva (Fees) Kenney. In 1972, he married Cheryl Malcom. He later married Kerry Hibberd. Survivors include his son, Luke of Amherst; his mother, Vi Wright of Minden; brothers, Tim of Minden and Bob of Lincoln; sisters, Tammy Haynes of Winner, S.D., Brenda Smith of Minden and Alicia Porter of Blue Springs; and stepdaughters, Kris Parzych of Kearney and Chanon Hibberd of Lincoln. Additional survivors include his sister-in-law, Jeanne Kenney of Minden; and brothers-in-law, Stan Haynes of Winner, Tracy Smith of Minden and Steve Porter of Blue Springs. He leaves behind his dog, Huck. His family moved to Minden in 1956, and he graduated from Minden High School in 1969. He served in the U.S. Army from 1969 to 1972 and was a veteran of Vietnam. He attended Norfolk Tech and became a lineman. He and his first wife moved to Kearney. He worked for Dawson Public Power and later moved to Minden and was a lineman for the city of Minden. He also worked at West Co. in Kearney. He and his second wife lived in the Kearney area. He was a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed sports, hunting and fishing.
