Description	:	Thomas Roland Ward, 75, of Woodfield, Maryland died Friday, November 1, 2013. He was the beloved husband of June S. Ward. Born January 3, 1938 at their home in Woodfield, he was the son of the late James Roland and Mary Elizabeth Johnson Ward. Tom graduated from Damascus High School in 1956. He worked in construction all of his life. He owned his own business at age 19, and was later part owner of Heritage Builders. He also worked for M.L Shores Construction. Read More	Thomas Roland Ward, 75, of Woodfield, Maryland died Friday, November 1, 2013. He was the beloved husband of June S. Ward. Born January 3, 1938 at their home in Woodfield, he was the son of the late James Roland and Mary Elizabeth Johnson Ward. Tom graduated from Damascus High School in 1956. Tom loved singing and playing his guitar, golfing, enjoying the outdoors, and being with family and friends. He treasured above all else spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. Tom was fun-loving, witty, and had a great sense of humor. He will be dearly missed by all. Surviving him are three beloved children, Cherrie Gartner and husband Billy of Damascus, Terrie Ward of New Market, and Vicki Edwards of New Market; three beloved grandchildren, Ashley, Hunter, Jason, and his wife Ashley; Sister Mary Ann Davis and husband Clifford of Woodfield; and brother James E.H. Ward and wife Pamela of Plano, Texas. He also has five nieces, Debbie, Mollie, Jennifer, Susanna, and Carrie; one nephew, Michael; and their spouses and children. Memorial Services will be held at 1la.m. Thursday, November 21, 2013 at Wesley Grove Methodist Church, 23640 Woodfield Road, Gaithersburg, Maryland. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Wesley Grove United Methodist Church at the address listed above or to Frederick Community College Foundation, 7932 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD 21702.
