Anderson Sr., 76, of Fort Madison died July 6 at 3:00 p.m. in University Hospitals, Iowa City. Born May 19, 1905, in Oskaloosa to John and Anna Pierson Anderson, he was a retired self-employed contractor who lived in Ottumwa most of his life. He married Ina K. McCart Oct. 17, 1925, in Fairfield. She died in 1974. Survivors: sons Thomas Jr. of Ottumwa and David, John and William of Fort Madison; daughters Katherine Lough of Waveland, Ind., and Verona Shewry of Floris; 24 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; and brothers, David and William and sister Irma Davis of Ottumwa. Service: 10 a.m. Friday in Johnson Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Rick Williamson of Trinity Church of the Nazarene officiating. Burial: Shaul Cemetery. Pallbearers: Randy, Thomas W., Michael, Douglas, William and Bruce Anderson. The family will be at the funeral chapel from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Visitation: after noon Wednesday.
