He was born April 14, 1952, in Lima, the son of Eldon C. and Joan E. (Brockert) Seitz. His mother survives in Wapakoneta, and his father is deceased. Other survivors include Tom's best friend, Ed Neuenschwander; Ed's daughter, Kristina (Anthony) Aldora; siblings, Linda (Ted) Austin, Steven (Debra) Seitz, Charles Seitz and Judith (Tony) Lochard, all of Wapakoneta; his sister-in-law, Deborah Seitz, Wapakoneta' and 87 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Barbara Seitz, Frederick Seitz, Michelle "Mick" Fields and Michael Seitz. Tom had worked 40 years at Copeland Corp., Sidney. A 1971 graduate of Wapakoneta High School, he was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wapakoneta and a former Squires leader. Tom's hobbies included cake baking, floral arranging, and gardening, and he couldn't drive by a garage sale without stopping. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 18, 2017, at the Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, 1102 Lincoln Ave. (state Route 501) Wapakoneta, with the Rev. Sean Wilson officiating. Burial will be at a later date in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Wapakoneta.
