Description	:	OBITUARY XENIA GAZETTE: Thomas S. Harper, whose death occurred Wednesday morning, March 4, at 7:30 a.m. was born in Rockbridge County, Virginia, June 2, 1819. He moved to this State when about 19 years of age and located about two miles west of Jamestown. Was married Jan. 11, 1844, to Mary E. Ginn, who died four years ago last December. Read More	OBITUARY XENIA GAZETTE: Thomas S. Harper, whose death occurred Wednesday morning, March 4, at 7:30 a.m. was born in Rockbridge County, Virginia, June 2, 1819. He moved to this State when about 19 years of age and located about two miles west of Jamestown. Was married Jan. 11, 1844, to Mary E. Ginn, who died four years ago last December. Mr. Harper was a member of the M.E. church, having been converted on his 21st birthday. He united with the M.E. church at Cedarville which was then under the pastorate of Rev. Wm. Sutton. Mr. Harper was a constant christian man and for a number of years had been an active class leader in the M.E. church of this place. He was the last of ten children to pass to the great beyond. The funeral services will take place at his last residence on West Main street, Friday, March 6th, at 1:30 p.m. and will be conducted by Rev. D.C. Vance, assisted by Dr. W.A. Robb, of the U.P. church. His remains will be peacefully laid to rest in the Jamestown cemetery, by the side of his wife, who so recently preceded him. Thomas' wife is buried beside him and I see where a Sallie and an E.May Harper are also buried here. I assume they are the single daughters they had mentioned in the obit. I did not create their memorial so I cannot link them.
