Mr. Shebeck committed suicide last Friday by hanging himself in a barn at his home in Johnson county near Hills, where he had lived for the past three years. For two years, he worked on a farm north of Washington and then moved to Johnson county. He was born and reared on a farm southwest of Riverside. He leaves four sisters and three brothers to mourn his tragic death, as follows: Mrs. Libbie Ramsey of Des Moines, Mrs. Elizabeth Eichler of Iowa City; Mrs. Harry Springmen of Washington, Joe Shebek of Iowa City; Frank Shebeck of Richmond; and John Shebeck who lives five miles south of Washington.
