Description	:	Died - On last Thursday, April 6, at his home in this city, Thomas Starmer, aged eighty-five years. Mr. Starmer was born in Lincolnshire, England in 1814, where he grew up to manhood. He was married in 1841 and with his wife came to the United stated in 1856. Thir first home in this country was New York, from which state they removed to Wisconsin, then to Illinois and finally to Nebraska in the Winter of 1873, since which time the deceased has been a continuous resident of Dodge County. During these long years of residence here he has won the... Read More	Died - On last Thursday, April 6, at his home in this city, Thomas Starmer, aged eighty-five years. Mr. Starmer was born in Lincolnshire, England in 1814, where he grew up to manhood. He was married in 1841 and with his wife came to the United stated in 1856. Thir first home in this country was New York, from which state they removed to Wisconsin, then to Illinois and finally to Nebraska in the Winter of 1873, since which time the deceased has been a continuous resident of Dodge County. During these long years of residence here he has won the hearts of everyone who knew him and the respect and veneration due to the faithful servant of God in his, and the records of a well spent life will confront him beyond the grave. He was a most faithful husband, a good neighbor and an honorable citizen. he was the father of eight children, six of whom survive him, with thirty-none grand children. The funeral was held in the Congregational church Saturday afternoon, Rev Davies officiating, and the remains laid to rest at Glencoe beside the faithful companion who lately left him alone.
