He was born May 14, 1943 in Coldwater, Mich. to Dale and Maxine (Blotter) Parker, who preceded him in death. He married Joyce Pierson on Sept. 14, 1964 in Angola. She survives. He was born May 14, 1943 in Coldwater, Mich. to Dale and Maxine (Blotter) Parker, who preceded him in death. He married Joyce Pierson on Sept. 14, 1964 in Angola. She survives. Mr. Parker retired as a heavy equipment operator and repairman from Merritt Sand & Gravel, Angola, IN. He also worked for several other companies, including Dan Blaskie Welding in Coldwater, MI.; Michigan Aggregates in Coldwater, MI; Mike Klink Sand & Gravel in Angola, IN; and Richard Klink Sand & Gravel in Angola, IN. He also was an owner of the Parkers General Store, Coldwater, MI. from 1979 until 1984, and also was self-employed with T. Parker Excavating. He was a 1961 graduate of Coldwater High School. He was a member of the Angola Moose Lodge since 1974, and a member of the Coldwater Eagles Lodge since 1972. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and enjoyed mushroom hunting, camping and NASCAR. Besides his wife Joyce, also surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Marc Scott of Quincy, MI; a son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Arlene Parker of Quincy, MI; eight grandchildren and their spouses, Tyler Parker of Hillsdale, MI.; Derek and Stacie Parker of Quincy, MI.; Kelly and Zachery Brewster of West Virginia; Lacy and Bryan Antvelink of Grand Rapids, MI.; Greg Parker of Quincy, MI.; Erik and Casey Parker of Quincy, MI.; Devin Scott of Litchfield, MI.; Kirstin Scott of Quincy, MI; six great-grandchildren, Trevyn Parker; Preston Parker; Ada Parker; Allison Parker; Wyat Brewster; Addalyn Antvelink; and two sisters, Mary and Harold Jensen of Quincy, MI and Betty Henderson of Montgomery, MI. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Leonard Parker, in 1984 and a sister, Gladys Greenamyer. Funeral Services at 11 AM Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009 at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana, with Rev. Jon Bruney officiating. Burial will be in California Cemetery, Branch County, Michigan.
