Burkett, to whom he was married on September 14, 1913 at the home of Mr. F. Collins (on the Seneca River); It is believed they later divorced; she died in 1982 and was listed as Rosa Burkett in her obituary. Thomas is listed as a "widdow(er)" on his death certificate, which apparently references his first marriage with Osie. It is noted that his daughter Nettie Davenport Stancil (with wife Rosa), age 24 at the time of his death, is not listed as a surviving child in his obituary.
