[Source: Will Book of Monroe County, VA(now WV)]. John Riner was Thomas' father-in-law. Thomas and Frances moved to Indiana with his parents and brothers and sisters in 1823 where he purchased land from the Government Land Office. He was an influential and respected member of the community and his church, the Winchester Church. Thompson Ditch and Thompson Road in Shelby County were named for him. |
