The funeral service is Wednesday, May 27, 10:30 A.M. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, rural Leigh, with Rev. Dr. Marsha Jark-Swain officiating. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Creston. Thomas “Toby” Boning was born May 15, 1933, in rural Creston, Nebraska, to Louis and Hulda (Sander) Boning. He grew up near Creston and attended rural country school and graduated from Creston High School. On January 1, 1954, Toby was united in marriage to Shirley Went at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, rural Leigh. Toby lived and farmed his entire life in the Creston area. He enjoyed tractors and old cars and was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Toby is survived by: Wife: Shirley Boning of Creston, NE Daughter: Lori (Carroll) Kallweit of Humphrey, NE 3 Grandchildren: Daniel, Kayleen, and Mark Sister: Karen (Terry) Howard of Madison, NE Sister-in-law: Marion Boning of Littleton, CO Toby was preceded in death by: Parents: Louis & Hulda Boning 2 sons: Jeffrey Robert and David Russell Boning Brother: John Boning Sister: Rachel Boning
