Description	:	Thos. V. Pitts, was born at Elkhart, Ind., Feb. 14, 1851. Early in life he moved to Nebraska, and was among the first settlers in that part of the country. He was married Elizabeth Haney in June, 1875. Seven children were born to this union, all are living at the present time. Mrs. Ella Cramer lives in Nebraska; Mrs. Jones in Idaho; Mrs. Maho in Ca.; Chas. Pitts, Mrs. Ed. Thompson, Jim Pitts, Mrs. Harry Heller, all in this community. Seven children were born to this union, all are living at the present time. Mrs. Ella Cramer lives in Nebraska; Mrs. Jones in Idaho; Mrs. Maho in Ca.; Chas. Pitts, Mrs. Ed. Thompson, Jim Pitts, Mrs. Harry Heller, all in this community. Mr. Pitts moved to Kansas about 40 years ago. He moved to Washington in April, 1903, and settled on a ranch above Lakeside, where he lived until his death which occurred Saturday morning, Aug. 16, 1924, aged 73 years, 6 months and two days. His wife preceded him to the great beyond 16 years ago. He was buried in the Chelan cemetery, following a short service taken from the book of Psalms.
