He retired from Chicago and Northwestern Railroad, and was a World War II veteran. He enjoyed traveling, ham radio, and old gas engines. He was a charter member of Hawkeye Antique Acres. Survivors include a son, Tom (Sharon) Morris; a daughter, Karen Bellis; 3 grandchildren; and 2 great-granddaughters.
