Mr. Parker was a native of Spartanburg County and was a son of the late Thomas Garrett "T.G." Parker (1983-1943) and Hattie (Harmon) Parker (1890-1966). Read More	Thomas Wallace Parker, 82, of Spartanburg, SC, died on Friday, August 13, 2004 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. He was the husband of Ellen (Covil) Parker. Mr. Parker was a native of Spartanburg County and was a son of the late Thomas Garrett "T.G." Parker (1983-1943) and Hattie (Harmon) Parker (1890-1966). He was retired from Flowers Industries after 35 years of service, a World War II Air Force veteran, having received the Victory Medal, and was a member of Boiling Springs First Baptist Church. He was a member of the Faithful Sunday school class, a member of the Joy group, a former deacon, and a member of the Woodmen of the World. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Jane and John Nee, of Greensboro, NC; sons and daughters-in-law, Tommy and Susan Parker, of Spartanburg, Roy and Ann Parker, of Inman; sister, Louise Parker, of Gaffney; brother, James Parker, of Cherokee Springs; grandchildren, Beth (husband, Peter) Morin, of Boiling Springs, Tom (wife, Ellen) Parker and Scott (wife, Lisa) Parker, of Columbia, Rebecca and Elizabeth Nee, of Greensboro, NC as well as great-grandchildren, Parker Morin, of Boiling Springs, Drew and Noah Parker, of Columbia also survive him. The family received friends 7:00-9:00 PM on Saturday, August 15, 2004 at Eggers Funeral Home of Boiling Springs. Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, August 16, 2004 at Boiling Springs First Baptist Church. Rev. James Crocker, Rev. Scott Linnerud, and Rev. Keith Higginbotham officiated. Interment was in Boiling Springs Memorial Gardens. Memorials could be made to the Building Fund, Boiling Springs First Baptist Church, 3600 Boiling Springs Road, Boiling Springs, SC 29316.
