Thomas Walter McConohy was born March 1, 1909 to Thomas and Agnes (Burke) McConohy in Clinton County. He married Dorothy Quackenbush September 26, 1932 at St. Mary''s Catholic Church in Clinton, Iowa. Dorothy preceded him in death on October 7, 1994. Walter farmed in the DeWitt area. Surviving are two daughters: Lavonne (Louis) Falconieri, Austin, Texas and Joan (Bill) Magee, LaGrange, Illinois. Preceding Walter in death in addition to his wife, were his parents as well as four sisters, Frances Early, Alberta BUrke, Geraldine Ryan and Genevieve Bickel. Funeral service will be 11:30 A. M. on Wednesday at St. Patrick''s Catholic Church, Villa Nova. Fr. Stack officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandchildren. Visitation will be at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt, from 3:00 until 7:00 on Tuesday. A rosary service will be at 7:00 P. M. on Tuesday evening at the funeral home. (Source: Schultz Funeral Home)
