Read More	The Logansport Press, Tuesday, July 21, 1936, front page MONTICELLO MAN COMMITS SUICIDE Despondency Over Ill Health Blamed Thomas Fraser, 28, Fires Bullet in Head Shortly After Being Visited by Physician Monticello, Ind., July 20--Within a few hours after a physician had been summoned to quiet his nerves, Thomas Fraser, 28, lifelong resident of Monticello, committed suicide by shooting himself through the head at his home on the corner of Dewey street and Broadway, here tonight. Fraser had been in poor health for some time and was reported by officials to have been despondent over finances and matrimonial affairs. His body was discovered by Mrs. Eva Scott, who shared the same house with Fraser and his wife, Vera. Upon passing his room about 8:30 p.m., Mrs. Scott saw him lying on the floor. Thinking him to be ill, she rushed in and found him lying in a pool of blood. A discharged revolver was at his side. Quarreled with Wife--According to reports made to police, Fraser had quarreled with his wife earlier in the day, and she had packed her things and left the house. About 6 p.m., Fraser, quite ill, summoned Dr. H. B. Gable, who administered a sedative to quiet the man's nerves. When Fraser's body was discovered, rigor mortis had begun to set in and officials believe he had shot himself soon after the doctor left the house. L. E. Miller, of Idaville, White county coroner, was notified as was Sheriff William Hayes. Both immediately opened an investigation into the death. Fraser, a mechanic, was born in Monticello in 1908 and had resided there his entire life. He was a graduate of Monticello high school. Surviving are his widow; a brother, Lincoln, of Monticello, and his mother, Mrs. Nellie Marquat of Cleveland, O.
