Description	:	Timothy Lewis Kahre, son of Edward and Genevieve (Jungemann) Kahre was born April 9, 1947. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church in Wolsey. He graduated from Wolsey High School in 1965 and from Huron College in 1969, with a Bachelor Degree in Applied Music and drama. He taught at local schools, including, Lane, Wolsey, Redfield and Pierre. Tim moved to Sioux City, Iowa and started the Sioux City Dinner Theatre in the old processing plant. Read More	Timothy Lewis Kahre, son of Edward and Genevieve (Jungemann) Kahre was born April 9, 1947. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church in Wolsey. He graduated from Wolsey High School in 1965 and from Huron College in 1969, with a Bachelor Degree in Applied Music and drama. He taught at local schools, including, Lane, Wolsey, Redfield and Pierre. Tim moved to Sioux City, Iowa and started the Sioux City Dinner Theatre in the old processing plant. He returned to Huron, and worked at the Music Center and directed many dinner theatre's and musical productions. Moving to Lincoln Nebraska, he started a private cleaning company, and then became head chef at many establishments in Lincoln. He was responsible for starting the Thousand Points of Light Group, and went to many schools and camps to demonstrate the lost art of the pioneering way of life. He was a member of the Society of Creative Anachronism, where he was Baron for three years, and received his Laurel award for tailoring. He taught many people in many states the fine art of costuming, and had received many awards and accolades for his talent. The forefront of Tim's life was teaching. He was a teacher to mulitudes of people in all areas of textiles, art and music. Tim passed away at his home in Lincoln, on Monday August 31st, surrounded by his family. Many of his SCA friends were there to keep vigil until the end, and to celebrate his life. Tim is survived by his children, Trent and Jen Kahre of Wolsey, Genae and Paul Gilbertson of Northfield, MN. his sister Valerie and her husband Marlin Kohlmeyer of Wolsey, his special friend, Rich Hintsala, of Lincoln, NE, and a large extended family. Following Tim's wishes his body was cremated and a private family burial was held.
