A graduate of Ottumwa High School, Tim had served 2 years with the U.S. Navy. He worked for 14 years for Everco. Tim earned an Associate degree from Indian Hills Community College in machine mechanics and worked for 11 years at John Deere Ottumwa Works. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and cooking. Surviving is his wife, Crissy; 3 sons, Cody Buffington of Des Moines, Dakota (Xander) Gonzalez Buffington and Payton Buffington both of Ottumwa; a step-son, Andrew Shipley of Des Moines; a sister, Becky Sims of Agency; a brother, Stephen Lindsey of Tours, France and his fur babies, Butterscotch, Callie and Lillyann. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Nancy Murphy. His body has been cremated and no services are planned. Memorials may be made to Hospice serving Davis & Wapello Counties. Reece Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
