Junior was born in the old Young homstead in Independence township where he spent all of his life until very recently, having moved to the new home. On July 29, 1941, he was suddenly stricken with death, to leave his parents, one sister, Evelyn, one brother, Addie Louis, two grand uncles, aunts, cousins, and hosts of friends. He was graduated from Centerville high school with the class of 1940, a promising young Christian boy beloved by all his acquaintances. He was converted to the teaching of his Christ, and united with the Chariton River Baptist church on September 1, 1940. Funeral service was conducted by his pastor, Rev. Harris of Moberly, Mo., Thursday afternoon, July 31, at 2 o'clock. The Plano quartet sang "No Disappointments in Heaven," "Say Good Night Here and Good Morning Up There," and "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere," with Miss Elizabeth Henderson at the piano. He was laid to rest in the Chariton River cemetery. Miss you, yes we miss you As the earth would miss the moon; As violets and roses would The golden days of June.
