Todd was born on September 2, 1953 in Mount Pleasant, IA to Melvin Lee and Evelyn Louise (Johnson) McBeth. Todd graduated from Mount Pleasant, IA High School in 1972 where he played football and basketball for the Panthers. Todd spent most of his adult life in Texas where he attended universities where he received his Master’s Degree and became a licensed professional counselor. McBeth, 62, of Sallisaw, OK, died on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 in Fort Smith. Todd was born on September 2, 1953 in Mount Pleasant, IA to Melvin Lee and Evelyn Louise (Johnson) McBeth. Todd graduated from Mount Pleasant, IA High School in 1972 where he played football and basketball for the Panthers. Todd spent most of his adult life in Texas where he attended universities where he received his Master’s Degree and became a licensed professional counselor. He had moved to Oklahoma from Texas where he had taught all grades in school and also counselor where he counseled students up to the age of 22. He had also taught GED classes for adults. Todd was a counselor for Sequel Care of Oklahoma in Poteau. Todd was preceded in death by his parents and both sets of grandparents. He is survived by his brother-C. Tim McBeth and his wife Bonnie of Trempealeau, WI. Several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 6-8 Thursday evening at Forever Memories Funeral Services. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Friday, June 17, 2016 at the First United Methodist Church of Sallisaw with Rev. Al Potts officiating.
