He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Frances Browning Chelette; his beloved daughter Nicole Chelette Inbau and son-in-law Ted Inbau; his precious granddaughters Railey and Anne Frances Inbau; his three brothers and sister-in-laws Ray Chelette (Martha), Waymon Chelette (Teresa) and Eugene Chelette (Anne); his sister and brother-in-law Margie Clifton (Fred “Duke”); and Carlye and Hunter Torjusen who he considered his grandchildren; he is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his father and mother Railey and Virginia Chelette. Tommy was born on September 19 th , 1947 in Jonesboro, LA. He grew up in Dodson, LA where he met and married his wife Frances. He moved to Shreveport, LA and worked for 26 years at the Shreveport Times in the advertising department. He later worked for the Mississippi Press in Jackson County Mississippi for 14 years serving as the Advertising Director before he retired in 2009. Tommy was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a friend to so many people. He was known for his kind heart and for his joyful personality that would light up a room. He gave to others with truly not expecting anything in return. Many people sought advice and comfort from Tommy due to his life experiences and comforting soul. He loved his family with all his heart and would do anything to make them happy. Tommy will be missed by everyone whose heart he has touched and will watch over all of his family and dear friends from heaven. There will be a Gathering of Friends and Family from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Heritage Funeral Home in Moss Point, MS. A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Dodson First Baptist Church in Dodson, LA at 1:00 pm with services to follow at 2:00 pm.
