Description	:	Tony Breske, age 44, of Waverly, SD, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 north of Marshall, MN as a result of an automobile accident. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm, Monday, September 9, 2019 at First United Methodist Church in Watertown, SD. Visitation will be from 2-6:00 pm, Sunday, September 8, 2019 at Wight & Comes Funeral Chapel in Watertown. Burial will be at Esterly Cemetery near Florence, SD. Tony David Breske, son of Harry and Margaret (Schmig) Breske was born on November 2, 1974 in Sisseton, SD. He grew up on a farm northwest of Summit until 1992, when he and his parents moved into Summit. He graduated from Summit High School in 1993 and then moved to Watertown. On August 30, 1997, Tony was united in marriage to Gwen Maag at the Grace Lutheran Church in Watertown. Tony worked at Medallion homes until 2003 when he went to work for Persona. Tony and Gwen moved to an acreage in 2004 where they have lived ever since. Tony loved spending time with his family and friends and helping his neighbors. He enjoyed driving in the mud drags, working cattle, playing cards, riding his 4-wheeler and shooting guns. Cherishing Tony's memory are his wife, Gwen of Watertown; his children, Lily, Colin and Breanna of Watertown; his sisters and brother, May (Galen) Gibson of Webster, Larry Breske of Summit, and Lisa (Larry) Erickson, Linda (Tom) Fitting and Debra Breske all of Watertown; a sister-in-law, Bernadine Breske of Yankton; his mother-in-law, Judy Maag of Florence; a sister-in-law, Rose (Ted) Derby of Watertown; and his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Ed and Gene Breske; one sister, Jean Carol; his nephew, David Breske: and his father-in-law, Victor Maag. - Wight & Comes Funeral Chapel ————————————————- MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A driver died Wednesday in southwestern Minnesota after failing to stop at a stop sign and colliding with a semi. The Minnesota State Patrol says the crash happened shortly before 8 p.m. in Lyon County, at the intersection of County Road 10 and Highway 59. Tony Breske, 44, of Watertown, South Dakota, was traveling west on the highway when he failed to stop his Chevy Trailblazer at the intersection. He crashed into the side of a semi that was hauling a flatbed. Breske died at the scene. The driver of the semi, a 60-year-old man from Marshall, Minnesota, suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
