We remember her forever, blasting Queen and Eminem late at night, parading around the living room with a glass of wine in her hand and a smile on her face that never faltered. She was a firecracker; a beacon of light that, no matter how far away you felt, always guided you back home. It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce that on February 14, 2018, that light shone beautifully for the last time when Tracey Lynne (Adams) Srinivas, age 54, passed away peacefully in her home in Sherwood, Oregon. Tracey was born on April 24, 1963 in Grand Forks, North Dakota to Darrell Adams and Roberta Kuntz. A rambunctious and rebellious middle child to a farming family, she enjoyed caring for her dogs and horses, and driving around her small town in her Red Camaro or on her motorcycle. She attended Red River High School and Aaker’s Business College before relocating to Mesa, Arizona where she met her husband while working at Arizona State University in 1988. Famously opinionated and full of wildly inappropriate humor, Tracey passed these qualities down to her children, Dustin Srinivas (Los Angeles, CA) and Desiree Srinivas (Gilbert, AZ), who carry much of her wild spirit and unique quirks. With unconditional love and admiration until the very end, Tracey also leaves behind her husband, Damodaran Srinivas, to whom she was married to for 26 crazy, trialing, but beautiful years. Tracey was always onto something new. Her husband’s job took her anywhere from California, to Oregon, to Taiwan, to Connecticut, to Arizona, and eventually to Oregon once again. She had a love of shopping, traveling, decorating her beautiful homes everywhere she lived, indulging in food of all kinds, and spending time with her children. She was preceded in death by her parents, Darrell and Roberta, her stepfather Richard Roberts, and her grandparents, Ralph Adams, Ruth Adams, Pete Kuntz, and Gladys Kuntz. In addition to her husband and children, she is survived by her brother Steve (Darla) Adams, her sisters Lisa (Matt) Heher, and Denise Adams (Chuck) Lewandowski, her stepmother LaVonne Adams, as well as her dog, Frankie. We will miss her voice. Her smile. The kindness behind her eyes. Her crude humor, and her ridiculous dance moves, and the funny way she laughed. Her signature spaghetti, and her oofta tacos. Her love for trashy TV shows, and even her backseat driving. Her gentle heart, and her stubbornness, and her ability to love so tenderly and to fight so fearlessly until the very end. Tracey was unlike anyone else there ever was or will be. She is still a beacon of light to us, who will continue to guide us home long after she's gone. We knew much of her time was borrowed, but every single day we had with her was a gift. She was a gift to all of us. A Blessing of Cremains was be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 23, 2018 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Grand Forks, ND. Interment of Cremains will take place in Calvary North Cemetery, in the spring.
