Published by Heights Family Funeral Service & Crematory, Billings, MT FOLLOW-UP Traci Lynn Ostwalt, age 54, passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2020. She was born April 12, 1966 in Billings, Montana to Henry Ostwalt Jr. and Eleanor Ostwalt, the youngest of four children. She attended school at Beartooth Elementary, Castle Rock Middle School and graduated from Billings Senior High in 1984. For many years, Traci worked for Wells Fargo where she had created a work family who were a significant part of her life. Many have said her giggle never failed to brighten everyone's work day. Traci enjoyed gardening, a pastime she learned to love from days spent in the garden with her mom, shopping with her nieces, and reading a good book on the porch with her dogs. Her greatest joy, though, was loving her family. She showed her affection most often by spoiling them rotten. She made each member of the family their own personalized blanket and each new family member received one as they were born into or married into the family, and she frequently went overboard on gifts at birthdays and Christmas. Her love was unconditional and unrestricted. Traci was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Eleanor Ostwalt; sister and brother-in-law Sharon and Ronald Rutschke; and brother-in-law Floyd McFarren. She is survived by her sister Renee McFarren; her brother Jeffrey Ostwalt and sister-in-law Deb Ostwalt; four nieces Shaunna McFarren, Krista Charles, Mandi Olson (Camdon Telenga) and Alyssa Ostwalt Wright (Christian Wright); five great-nephews Trever McFarren, Tre Patterson , Cruz Buchanan, Jaxon Buchanan and Corbin Buchanan; and four great-nieces Tavia Charles, Linze Rivera, Kelsie McChesney and LaTaya Wichman. She is also survived by her furry babies Mya, Chey, Sassy, Coco and Gizmo. All of these she loved deeply. A viewing will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, November 27, 2020. A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, November 28, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. with burial services to follow. A livestream of the service will be available (below) to those who are unable to attend in person due to the current limit on gatherings. It is requested that you attend virtually if you have not been extended an invitation to attend in person by the family.
