Description	:	Tracy C. Roberson, 81, of Hewett, Boone County, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, July 3, 2008. Born Oct. 22, 1926, in Pound, Va., he was the son of the late John Patrick and Carrie Mae Gilliam Roberson. Mr. Roberson was also preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Maxine Spencer Roberson; son, Jerry Dean; brothers, Clayton, who lived in Huntington, Burns, who lived in Richmond, Va., Averil, who lived in Pound; grandsons, Daniel Lewis and Michael Paul, who lived in Clearwater, Fla., and Jonathan Patrick, who lived in Hewett. Mr. Roberson was also preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Maxine Spencer Roberson; son, Jerry Dean; brothers, Clayton, who lived in Huntington, Burns, who lived in Richmond, Va., Averil, who lived in Pound; grandsons, Daniel Lewis and Michael Paul, who lived in Clearwater, Fla., and Jonathan Patrick, who lived in Hewett. Survivors include his sisters, Freda Wooden and Theda Crawford, both of LaGrange, Ky.; children, Tracy Roberson and wife, Kathy, of Racine, Wis., Brenda Ball and husband, Eugene, of Lake, Cheryl Akers and husband, Larry, of Hewett, Rhonda Bowen and husband, Tony, of Hode, Ky., Terry Dent and husband, Danny, of Madison, Ohio, Darlene Deel and husband, Sandy, of Hewett, Marlene Ball and husband, Leon of Hewett, Debbie Ball and husband, Leo of Lake, Tracy Roberson III and wife, Melissa, of Hewett; 21 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Tracy was a member of the Log Chapel Church, Hewett, a paw paw to many other children in his community, known to others as chief paw paw redskin. He volunteered for 12 years at the football field and enjoyed every minute of it. He volunteered at J.R. Marthron and at Bias' Branch Community Center. He also enjoyed giving candy to everyone he came in contact with. Tracy got such pleasure out of giving and helping others. Our loss is Heaven's gain. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Log Chapel Church with Paul Little, Earl Akers and Hubert Presley officiating. Burial will follow at the Wallen Cemetery, Hewett. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Monday at the church. Stevens Funeral Home, Madison is in charge of arrangements.
