Description	:	Travis Dryman Mabry, 86, of Norwood, passed away Wednesday morning, October 5, 2016 at Trinity Place in Albemarle. Funeral services will be hold 1:00PM, Friday, October 7, 2016 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Norwood. Rev. Gerald Mabry and Rev. Otis Goins will officiate and interment will follow in Simpson Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 Thursday evening, October 6, 2016 at Edwards Funeral Home in Norwood. Mr. Mabry was born May 24, 2930 in Stanly County to the late Henry Thomas and Annette Carpenter Mabry. He was a 1949 graduate of Norwood High School. In 1952, he enlisted in the United States Navy and proudly served his country for four years aboard, USS Robert A. Owens. He was a retired truck driver from Jonson Concrete and for many years was a driver for Southeastern Materials. He was a member of Porter United Methodist Church. Of the many accomplishments in his life, Mr. Mabry was most proud of his service to the United States Navy, his wife and family, and his acceptance of Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Lucille Howell Mabry and brother, Roger Mabry. He is survived by his daughters, Jackie M. Meunier (Bob) of India Trail, Teresa M. Bundy of Norwood and Gwen Mabry (Michele) of Norwood; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; brother, Rev. Gerald Mabry of Walterboro, SC.
