The Osceola Sentinel, Osceola, Iowa September 9, 1971, Page 10 Twylia Perdue Services Sept. 9 Funeral services were held for Twylia Creola Perdue on Thursday, September 9, from the Webster-Kale Funeral Home. The 1:30 p.m. services were conducted by the Rev. George V. Neal with interment at the Bethel Chapel Cemetery. Twylia Creola Perdue was born on June 29, 1902 in Woodburn and was the daughter of Jacob Edward and Rebecca Ellen Hines Baker. She was educated in Clarke County and was affiliated with the Calvary Baptist Church. She also was a nurses aide at the Clarke County Hospital for the past 15 years. On December 8, 1920, she was united in marriage to Charles Burton Perdue. Three children were born to this union. Surviving relatives include son, Charles and wife, Dorothy of Oskaloosa; daughter, Lois Beardsley and husband, Blaine of Milford, Oregon; six grandchildren, sisters, Mrs. L. C. Zike of Burlington; Mrs. Harley Cooper of Osceola; Mrs. Harold Stearns of Lucas; and brothers, Harley Baker of Des Moines and Rolla Baker of California. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and daughter, Virginia Lavar.
