Description	:	Tymen Juffer passed away Wed. afternoon at his home In Sioux Center, following a long period of illness due to pernicious anemia and followed by a stroke and pneumonia. He had attained the age of almost 70 years. He was born on Nov. 28th, 1866 at Nunspeet, Netherlands being one of a family of seven children having six sisters of whom five have preceded him In death. Read More	Tymen Juffer passed away Wed. afternoon at his home In Sioux Center, following a long period of illness due to pernicious anemia and followed by a stroke and pneumonia. He had attained the age of almost 70 years. He was born on Nov. 28th, 1866 at Nunspeet, Netherlands being one of a family of seven children having six sisters of whom five have preceded him In death. In the year 1890 he was married to Alice Franken to which union four children were born. In the year 1900 his wife was taken by death leaving him a widower with four small children. In 1902 he with his family emigrated to the United States so to be close to four of his sisters whom already lived there. He located on a small place five miles northwest of Sioux Center and was a day laborer for a period of 5 years. After that time he started farming and did so continually until the year 1918 when he disposed of his personal property and moved to town. For 10 years he had been a widower and was to his family both a rather and mother in his simple humble way. In 1916 he entered marriage again with Jansje Kamps of Winnipeg, Canada. They having each others companionship for over a period of 20 years. His faithful and loving wife gave him all the tender care during his long period of Illness. He is survived by his wife and 4 children, Mrs. J.M. Vanderberg, Mrs. Wm. G. Vanden Berg of Sioux Center. Gerrit of Ireton and Mrs. James Mulder of Alton, Iowa. He also is survived by his 19 grandchildren and one sister Mrs. Jane Van Berkum of Carmel, la. Funeral service was held on Friday, Nov. 6th at the 2nd Christian Ref. Church with Rev. Kenning officiating. Tymens first wife, Aaltje Franken, whom he married in Ermelo, The Netherlands on 21 August 1891, died in Nunspeet (Gelderland) on 24 March 1901. Aaltje was born in Ermelo on 2 February 1864. Brother of Jannie Juffer Lokhorst and Hendrikje Juffer Vis and Geertje Juffer Rikkers and Lubertje Juffer Brantsen and Jennie Juffer Van Berkum
