Coming to America with his parents In 1884, they made their home in Wisconsin. Eight year's later the family moved to Sioux County. On March 12, 1901, Mr. Dykstra was married to Josie Ottema. They made their home near Sioux Center for many years before moving to Lester, Iowa. Survivors include the widow; one daughter, Mrs. Gertrude Juffer; seven sons, John, Nick, Dick, Jake, Richard, Elmer and Ervin; one brother, Richard Dykstra, Rock Valley; and two sisters, Mrs. John Bruns and Mrs. Jake Vander Schaaf, both living near Sioux Center.
