Description	:	Wednesday at his home southeast of this city occurred the death of Uriah Elliott. The cause of his death was Bright's disease. The funeral services were held Friday at his house at ten o'clock. Rev. Wm Hardcastle of the Congregational church had charge of the services. Interment took place in the Friend's cemetery. The funeral services were held Friday at his house at ten o'clock. Rev. Wm Hardcastle of the Congregational church had charge of the services. Interment took place in the Friend's cemetery. Mr. Elliott was born in Pennsylvania, October 26, 1844 and came with his parents to Illinois at an early age. He served in the Union Army for four years, entering the service at the age of sixteen. He was wounded in battle, a bullet passing thru one of his lungs. At the age of twenty-four he was married in Wisconsin to Miss Polly Crippenden, who survives him. To them were born three children, two of whom are dead. One son, Zernon, lives in Arizona and is suffering with lung trouble and asthma. He was unable to come to the funeral on account of poor health. Mr. and Mrs Elliott came to this county twenty-eight years ago settling near Eagle City. Three years later they moved to their present home where they have since resided. Mr Elliott was in poor health for many years.
