Read More	EARLY ADAVILLE SETTLER PASSES URIAS STINTON WAS A MEMBER OF PIONEER FAMILY OF JOHNSON TOWNSHIP Urias Stinton, a former resident of Plymouth County, in the Adaville Vicinity, died at Prescott, Arizona, August 28, 1925, of tuberculosis aged 61 years, 1 month and 25 days. Urias Abraham Stinton was born in Clinton County, Iowa, July 8, 1864, and came to Plymouth County, Iowa, with his parents in 1872, . settling , on a homestead In Johnson Township. He was , therefore, one of the pioneer settlers of this county. He resided here until he became of age, when he went to work for himself. While a young man he became converted and joined the United Brethren Church at Adaville. A few years later he affiliated with the Free Methodist church at Le Mars. He lived a good, conscientious Christian life, ever trying to lead others to Christ and working for his Master. About eight years ago, Mr. Stinton contracted the dreaded disease tuberculosis, and in a few months went to California for his health. After a short time he returned to Iowa, but finding he could not live here he went to Phoenix, Arizona, where he remained ever since, up to the time of his death. There remain to mourn his taking away two brothers, George H., of Akron, Iowa: Silas L. of Merrill, Iowa; two half-brothers, Everett, of Lucas, S. D., and Josiah, of Struble, and one half-sister, Mrs. L. L. Morehead, of Alberta, Minn., together with several cousins and other relatives and friends. The sorrowing relatives have the sympathy of all who know them. The remains arrived in Akron from Arizona Tuesday evening and Wednesday afternoon at 2 o-clock funeral services were conducted by Rev. O. O. Hobson at the Adaville U. B. Church a number of local relatives and many friends from Adaville vicinity attending the services.
