Higdon, a Clark County resident for 78 years, died Monday in Camas. She was 92. Mrs. Higdon was born Oct. 5, 1885, in Bavaria, Germany. She last resided at 17026 N.E. 92nd Ave., Battle Ground. She was a homemaker and the oldest member of St. John's Catholic Church; past president of St. John's Alter Society and a charter member of Manor Garden Club. Mrs. Higdon came to the United States at the age of 6 months. Survivors include two daughters, Evelyn Holbrook of Vancouver and Mary Circle of Roseburg, Ore.; two brothers, George Kaufmann of Woodburn, Ore., and Hans Kaufmann of McMinnville, Ore.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandson. Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. John's Catholic Church. The Rev. Richard Stohr will officiate.
